Katy Wicker is a Los Angeles–based producer and production manager with a diverse portfolio spanning independent narrative film, short-form projects, and creative collaborations. Originally from Houston, Texas, she holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and has built a dynamic career in the entertainment industry since relocating to Los Angeles.

Katy works as a freelance producer and production manager, supporting projects from development through post-production and festival exhibition. She has produced projects with 455 Films, as well as for CNN, Mocean, Method Studios, and Mob Scene. Her experience spans narrative shorts, branded and digital content, and independent productions, with a reputation for hands-on leadership and creative problem-solving.

Most recently, Katy produced the short film Balloon Animals, written and directed by Anna Baumgarten, which was selected for the Short Film Program at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. The film’s inclusion in Sundance highlights her ongoing engagement with the independent film community and her commitment to supporting distinctive voices and bold storytelling.

Based in Los Angeles, Katy remains deeply involved in the creative community, collaborating with emerging filmmakers and producers on projects designed for both festival audiences and broader cultural impact.
